YOUNGWOOD, Pa. — The Humane Society of Westmoreland County held a raffle ticket fundraiser on Sunday at the Shop 'N’ Save in Youngwood, but it didn’t go as planned.
During the raffle, a man was pretending to buy a ticket then ended up grabbing their money pouch and taking off, according to Cyndi Price, the Humane Society agent.
He got away with $100, which Price says can go along way at a non-profit like the Humane Society.

"With a hundred dollars we could feed a litter of puppies. We could spay and neuter if we have tomathons which are no cost to help people with the cat population. Shots. Medications. Anything that the shelter does...a hundred dollars is a lot of money,” she said.
The Humane Society said they just want the money back since every dollar counts when it comes to finding homes for the animals.
"Hopefully the guy has a conscience and maybe drops it off somewhere,” said Price.
