BELLEVUE, Pa. — One person died and two others are hurt after a crash following a police chase Monday evening.
Avalon police attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of California Avenue and Homes Street around 4:50 p.m.
Police said the car initially pulled over but then sped away.

The car then crashed at the intersection of Florence and Shade avenues.
All three men in the car were taken to the hospital. One of the men, 19-year-old Tyrone Jackson, died Monday night, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers said they found a firearm inside the car.
