Minivan strikes house after going over hillside in Penn Hills

PENN HILLS, Pa. — A minivan struck a house Monday after going over a hillside in Penn Hills.

The accident was reported about 10:30 a.m. on Lougeay Road. The van came to a rest on its side against a corner of the house, hitting an electrical meter.

Officials said the driver was trapped in the vehicle and needed to be rescued. The driver was not seriously hurt.

The van was pulled up from over the hillside and taken away on a flatbed.

Another car went over the same hillside a couple of years ago, firefighters said.
