More than $91,000 in unclaimed money available from city of Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — The city of Pittsburgh is holding more than $91,000 in unclaimed money, the controller’s office announced Tuesday.

The funds are owed to people and businesses who have failed to receive earned income and real estate tax refunds or city vendor payments.

Anyone who believes that the city is holding money that might belong to them can search the City of Pittsburgh Unclaimed Property website.

Anyone who finds that they have money owed to them must complete an online form.

Any funds not claimed by February 2017 will be sent to the state.
