Motorcyclist killed after hitting car in Brackenridge

BRACKENRIDGE, Pa. — A motorcyclist died Sunday after slamming into a vehicle and being thrown from the bike, police said.

Brackenridge police said a white Mazda sedan made a left turn and the motorcycle hit the side of it, sending the operator 50 feet through the air along Mile Lock Lane and Freeport Road.

The motorcyclist was identified as 55-year-old James Paz of Brackenridge. He was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital, where he died.

The accident caused the car’s side airbags to deploy.

Police said Paz was not wearing a helmet.
