Police: Florida fifth-grader spiked classmate's water with bleach, had hit list

A Florida fifth-grader could face charges, including premeditated attempted murder or manslaughter, after she poisoned a classmate’s water using bleach, police said. Police also are investigating whether she had a hit list of other students.
The incident happened on May 13 at a Temple Terrace school when a student drank from her water bottle and noticed it tasted different, WTSP reports. The student said she didn’t think anything of it since the bottle was sealed, but the teacher said to throw it away, police report. A few days later, another student told the victim that the water had been spiked with bleach.

“That could've ended something terrible. Bleach? No! That's crazy, that's scary,” Ashley Brown, a mother, told WTSP. The student who drank the bleach water did not become ill, police said.
According to police, investigators learned the girl behind it had a hit list with other students' names. Police said they are unsure of the suspect's motive.
No charges have been filed, but the girl could face charges of premeditated attempted murder or manslaughter, criminal conspiracy, and poisoning with the intent to injure or kill if the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office moves forward with the case. 
The school district has removed the suspect from the school.
