Penn Hills police said a young girl and her grandfather were found safe early Monday morning after disappearing while on a road trip to Lancaster over the weekend.
Family members said Morris Bradford and his granddaughter, Raven, went to Lancaster to see a play on Saturday.
"We were driving to the theater and all of a sudden the left front tire pops," Raven Bradford said. "Since we left at seven in the morning, we got there at seven at night."
Raven said she and grandfather were able to see the play but when they tried to leave, she said, her grandfather got lost and drove around for hours. As they were trying to find their way home, the car again had problems.
Family members said they received several text messages from Raven saying that they were lost. Raven said they eventually got help from a toll booth worker and had the car towed back to Pittsburgh.
Just before 3 a.m. Monday police got word that Bradford and Raven were back home.
