12-Year-Old Hero Rescues Trapped, Injured Woman In Leetsdale

LEETSDALE, Pa. —

Alek Teimouri, 12, has been hailed as a hero after helping an injured and trapped woman after last week’s big storms in Leetsdale.

Marjorie Arnett, 63, broke her back in a fall when she lost power in the storm. She lay all night in pain, flashing S-O-S out her second-floor window and calling weakly for help.

“All of a sudden out of nowhere I hear this little voice going, ‘Can I help you?’” said Arnett. “Oh, it was so wonderful.”

Teimouri had been walking his dog, Baxter, when he saw Arnett’s flashlight.

“I said, ‘All the doors are locked. What should I do?’” said Teimouri. “She said, ‘Go call 911.’”

Arnett said her family lives out of state, and she would have been there for days if Teimouri hadn’t walked by and helped.
