2 Accused In Canonsburg Slaying Get Trial

 

CANONSBURG, Pa. —

Two men accused in the stabbing death of a Honduran man in Canonsburg, Washington County, will go to trial.

Police charged Samuel Juarez Cruz, 25, of Mexico, and Jose Alberto Herrera-Luciano, 31, in the slaying of Jose Alex Medina, 26, last month.

Authorities said Cruz held Medina while Herrera-Luciano repeatedly stabbed him.

Medina's body was discovered Feb. 28 near railroad tracks in Canonsburg. Investigators said Medina was working in Pennsylvania to support his family in Central America.
