2 Injured In I-79 Tractor-Trailer Accident

 

BUTLER, Pa. —

Two people were taken to an area hospital after a tractor-trailer accident along Interstate 79 on Thursday morning.

Police said the accident happened in the southbound lanes near the Zelienople exit in Butler county.

State police said the tractor-trailer swerved into a construction barrier after the driver of the big-rig said a sport utility vehicle cut in front of it.

Emergency responders said the SUV rolled into a grass median.

Ramon Aracena, 47, and Javier Varela Carillo, 53, both from Grand Rapids, Mich., suffered minor injuries.
