2nd Coraopolis Police Officer Under Investigation

COROLLA, NORTH CAROLINA —

A Coraopolis police officer was arrested while on vacation in North Carolina.

Channel 11’s news exchange partners at The Tribune Review reported that 31-year-old Jason Stewart is charged with communicating threats to his wife.

That's a misdemeanor in North Carolina that carries a minimum six months in jail if he's convicted.

Stewart is the second officer from Coraopolis to get into trouble down south.

Tony Barravecchio, 42, was with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in Georgia, when Roethlisberger was accused of sexually assaulting a college student.

Roethlisberger was not charged in the case.

Barravecchio is still under investigation by Coraopolis Borough Council.
