Allegheny Co. 911 Service Restored

Callers Had To Use Local 10-Digit Emergency Number

 

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. —

Allegheny County 911 was up and running Thursday morning.

Some customers received a busy signal when dialing the service Wednesday night.

Those callers were advised to call from a cell phone or to dial local emergency crews.

The Emergency Response System experienced some intermittent problems with several exchanges.

The problem has been repaired and the system is now working.
