Allegheny County Most-Wanted Fugitive Captured

Comcast Viewers Spots Suspect On On-Demand

PITTSBURGH —

A tip from a Comcast On-Demand viewer led sheriff's deputies to a house in Arlington where one of Allegheny County's 20 most wanted fugitives was believed to be staying.

Sheriff's deputies responding to the call were able to apprehend Melissa Scalise, 30, of Carrick.

Scalise allegedly assaulted one of her children because he did not understand his homework.

Scalise is also accused of telling a CYF worker that CYF can have the children, because she no longer wanted them.

Scalise is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
