Animal Activist Try To Save North Park Geese

Local animal activists are trying to save the geese at North Park.

Voices for Animals of Western Pennsylvania is scheduled to meet Thursday afternoon with the Allegheny County parks department.

The group is trying to get the county to commit to using nonlethal methods to deal with the messy birds.

In the past, the department has considered rounding up geese and killing them.
