Animal Rights Activists Protest Killing Of Geese At Local Park

300 Geese Killed Due To Over-Population

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. —

Animal Rights activists protested the killing of geese at a local park.

On Friday, Voices for Animals held a demonstration outside the county building downtown.

The group is upset about the recent killing of nearly 300 geese.

Allegheny County Parks Director Andrew Baechle had said he was against killing the geese.

However, under the advice of experts, he removed the geese due to over-population in the park.
