Another Abandoned Home In Flames

MONESSEN —

For the second time in 2 days firefighters in Monessen, Westmoreland County battled flames in an abandoned house.

The latest blaze broke out at 6:52 AM Sunday on the 600-block of Chesnut Street.

Saturday, only a couple blocks away from today's scene, fire ripped through another empty home. Fire marshals were called in to investigate what sparked the flames on the 600-block of McMahon Avenue.

It is important to note that as of this time there is no official connection between the 2-fires other than location
