Arrest Made In Fatal Waterfront Shooting

34-Year-Old Man Charged

 

HOMESTEAD, Pa. —

Allegheny County and Homestead police on Monday arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting outside the Eat N' Park restaurant on Waterfront Drive in Homestead over the weekend. The shooting occurred at about 4 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Freedom Bey, 34, accosted the victim inside the restaurant, then shot him when he left the establishment.

Brendan Brooks, 38, was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he died from gunshot wounds to the abdomen and left arm.

Bey is charged with criminal homicide and a firearms violation. Police say he was found at a female friend's house in Homestead.
