Arson Suspect Accused Of Sexual Abuse To Appear In Court

PITTSBURGH —

A McKeesport man accused of setting his ex-girlfriend's apartment on fire will appear in court on Monday.

D'andre Richardson, 39, is expected to be arraigned. He's charged with harassing his former girlfriend, as well as harboring and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old runaway.

Richardson is accused of setting his former girlfriend's Maple Street home on fire on Jan. 2.

Investigators said from August to November, Richardson also had sex with a 15-year-old runaway inside his Beaver Street home.

According to the criminal complaint, the house had no heat, no hot water and barely any food. When the 10th-grader tried to leave, police said Richardson threatened to kill her and bury her in his back yard.

The girl eventually escaped and called police.

Richardson is being held in the Allegheny County Jail on $200,000 bail.
