Attempted Abduction Puts Parents On Alert

Police: Man Tried To Take 7-Year-Old Girl

 

PITTSBURGH —

The search is on for the man behind an attempted abduction.

Police said someone approached a young girl in an alleyway behind Ridge Avenue in East Pittsburgh around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Now parents and neighbors are keeping an even closer eye on their children.

Police said a man in his 40s driving a brown or tan sport utility vehicle tried to abduct a 7-year-old girl from an alleyway.

The girl was not injured.

No arrest has been made in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
