Baby Injured In Assault Dies

A 10-month-old girl who endured a terrible assault has died.

Daniyah Jackson, from Herman Street in Troy Hill, was pronounced dead at Children's Hospital on Saturday.

The mother's boyfriend, Clinton Smith, already faced charges in the vicious assault.

Police were not available Saturday night to say if or when the charges would be upgraded now that the child has died.
