Beltzhoover Fire Damages Three Homes

Firefighters battled a blaze in Beltzhoover Saturday.

Dispatchers said fire crews reported to the 800 block of Gearing Avenue just before 10:30 a.m.

Investigators said the fire started in the basement of a home where a plumber had been welding a pipe and has been ruled an accident.

The fire spread from that house to the adjacent houses which sustained smoke and water damage.

There were no injuries reported.
