Car Crimes Reported In Pittsburgh Neighborhood

Police Say Thieves Smashed Windows

PITTSBURGH, Pa. —

A Pittsburgh neighborhood remained on alert after a series of car crimes, police said.

Officers said thieves targeted cars in Bloomfield for some quick cash. Thieves smashed the windows of several cars on Friday and Saturday to steal items like luggage, Global Positioning Systems and compact discs, said authorities.

The thefts occurred on Gross, Harriet, Cabinet Way, and Baum streets. A similar crime spree happened in Highland Park a couple of weeks ago.
