Cars Nearly Hit Home Close To Bus Crash Site

PITTSBURGH —

A two-car collision on Thursday caused the vehicles to nearly strike a house in North Braddock close to where a school bus nearly hit a home on the same street a day earlier.

Allegheny County 911 said the cars nearly hit a home in the 1500 block of Brinton Avenue. No major injuries were reported. The scene has already been cleared. Initially, authorities said the cars crashed into the home, but the information was incorrect.

On Wednesday, 13 people were injured when a Port Authority bus lost power and drifted into a retaining wall, nearly hitting a house on the same street.

The 68D Braddock Express was on its daily Braddock Hills-to-downtown run, picking up passengers at the corner of Brinton Avenue and Sheridan Street when the bus apparently lost power just before 10:30 a.m.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the bus to lose power and then crash.
