Child’s Way, a daycare program for medically fragile infants and children, received a visit from Scooter Cat Monday morning.

Scooter Cat is a one-year-old therapy cat who was paralyzed after being hit by a car and now gets around using his front legs and a scooter, or "kitty wheelchair".

The therapy cat visited the children of Child’s Way to show them how he lives and plays with a disability.

"This cat does have a disability and has a lot of abilities, as well,” said Pamela Schanwald, CEO Child’s Way. “That is what is important for the children to see."

She said they’ve arranged for Scooter to visit the kids every Monday.
