Chevrolet Amphitheatre To Move To Sandcastle Waterpark

Concert Venue Leaving Station Square

 

PITTSBURGH —

Pittsburgh's only permanent outdoor rock concert venue is moving from its curent location.

The Chevrolet Amphitheatre will relocate to Sandcastle Waterpark in West Homestead, about five miles east of the city along the Monongahela River.

Officials with Sandcastle and Los Angeles-based Live Nation, the concert producing company that runs the amphitheater, confirmed the deal for The Associated Press on Tuesday.

The Chevy Amphitheatre, formerly known as the IC Light Amphitheatre, just completed its 18th year at Station Square.

Live Nation will lease an amphitheater at the water park and produce concerts and festivals under a tented setting.
