CMU Professor Charged With DUI 3 Times In 8 Days

 

PITTSBURGH —

An adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University was charged with three DUIs in the past eight days.

Jeffrey Hunker, 51, is a public policy professor and former dean at CMU. His initial citation occurred on Aug. 17 with the most recent happening on Sunday.

Pittsburgh police said his blood-alcohol content was at least twice the legal limit in one of the incidents.

In one citation, according to the Post-Gazette, Hunker drove through a neighbor's yard in Squirrel Hill and smashed into another car and a house.

Hunker has a court date set for Sept. 9.
