Coal Truck Flips Over, Slams Into Vehicle

Only Minor Injuries Reported

 

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. —

A matter of inches is all that stopped a driver in Indiana County from being seriously injured after a coal truck flipped over. coal truck

It happened Wednesday morning along Route 1-19 in Center Township.

The truck was carrying a full load of coal.

The driver of the truck was trying to make a left turn when police said a pickup truck got in his way.

The coal truck then slammed down on the pickup.

Rescue crews had to cut the roof off the pickup to get the driver out.

The driver suffered minor injuries.

A section of Route 1-19 remains closed as crews clean up the coal and diesel fuel that spilled from the truck.
