Connellsville Man Charged With Assaulting Priest

A Connellsville man was charged with assaulting a priest in a church last week, authorities said.

Police said Kevin Labuda, 46, attacked the Rev. Joseph Bonafed March 3 inside the rectory of the Immaculate Conception Church in Connellsville, where he is pastor.

Police said Bonafed, 48, was hit with a hard object.

Labuda is charged with aggravated assault, burglary, reckless endangerment and other crimes.
