CHARLEROI, Pa. —
The coroner had found no evidence of trauma in the death of Michael Ramsey.
At the outset of the investigation, police had said Ramsey's death did not appear to be suspicious.
Ramsey's father found his 7-year-old son dead on July 12 early in the morning when he went to wake up the boy in their Charleroi home along McKean Avenue, police said.
Friends and neighbors mourned the child and offered their support to the family.
"The block was filled with a heartache you just can't explain,” said neighbor Tony Lezzari. “I mean, any life is important, but when you're talking about a child -- a baby -- it's something that takes your breath away."
"Being a father myself, a father of kids under 7 years old, you know what I mean? It's rough," said family friend Tad Yates.
"No parent should have to bury their child," said neighbor Gary Turned. "He was young. He didn't even get to experience life."
