Coroner: Greene Co. Woman's Death Ruled Accidental

CARMICHAELS, Pa. —

The Greene County coroner said a woman who was found dead in a southwestern Pennsylvania home died accidentally.

Police found the body of Olga Zappone, 78, Tuesday night in the village of Crucible in Cumberland Township.

Officials said a gun was found on a table near the body, which led authorities to believe her death may have been suspicious.

The woman appeared to have been dead for several days before her body was found, police said.

Neighbors are shocked by her death. She was like a grandmother, said 15-year-old Stepanie Lavigne.

"I can't believe I've got to live without her. I don't know what I'm gonna do," said Lavigne.
