Crash Kills Woman In Armstrong County

A crash in Armstrong County killed one person Monday night.

It happened along Dime Road in Parks Township just after 6 p.m.

Police said 43-year-old Susan Lynn Miller of Vandergrift lost control of her car and crashed into a hillside.

Miller was thrown from the vehicle and died instantly.

Two passengers were taken to an area hospital.

The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Officials will return to the scene Tuesday.

From there, they will determine if a recent stone and oil treatment done to the road contributed to the accident.
