Crews Remove Boat Involved In Fatal Beaver Co. Dam Accident

 

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. —

Crews worked to remove the boat involved in a fatal accident at the Montgomery Lock and Dam.

The accident happened on Sunday night when the boat slammed into the Montgomery dam.

The impact killed the boat's operator Martin Desantis and his brother James Raab.

Chad Marshall was the only survivor of the crash.

"We were doing donuts, having fun ... they turned and went into the bridge and crashed I was in the backseat. The boat crashed, and I flew," said Marshall.

The medical examiner confirmed that the two victims had been drinking.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will continue to investigate the accident.
