XENIA – A too-trusting 18-year-old female drove around town with a friend and two other people she said she barely knew when she decided to stop at a Walmart at 2 a.m.
When she returned to her car and drove away, she couldn’t find her cell phone.
She went back to the Walmart to see if she left it there, but she didn’t.
Then she discovered her friend, whom she left at another address with one of the boys she barely knew, gave her user code to the boy, who appeared to be holding the female’s phone.
When the phone worked, the boy walked away with it in his hand.
Police already had a picture of the boy, who apparently was on a watch list, and were looking for him. At least they had a number where he could be reached.
