Dan Rooney Weighs In On 'Monday Night Football' Skit

Steelers Owner Calls Skit "Disgraceful"

PITTSBURGH —

Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney is weighing in on 'Monday Night Football's' steamy opening.

In an op-ed piece in Friday's New York Times, Rooney called the skit that featured actress Nicollette Sheridan jumping naked into the arms of Philadelphia Eagles star Terrel Owens "disgraceful."

The spoof was a promotion for the ABC show "Desperate Housewives."

Rooney said the skit did not exhibit the true spirit of the National Football League.
