Dog Jumps From Ross Township Overpass

Animal Lands In Front Of Police Car

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A dog jumped from an overpass and landed in front of a deputy's car.

The officer was driving north from I-279 onto McKnight Road around noon on Friday when the dog fell from the Ivory Avenue overpass.

The dog was a white German Shepherd with a pink collar that had no tags.

Witnesses said the dog jumped from the overpass after being spooked by traffic.

The dog is now being treated at a Ross Township veterinarian clinic.
