Contact Humane Officer With Information In Case

PITTSBURGH —

A dog left in a Dumpster leaves the Animal Rescue League searching for answers.

The 1-year-old pit bull, named Chance by volunteers, was found Monday night in a Dumpster along East Warrington Avenue.

Left for dead, the puppy had suffered severe puncture wounds to his neck.

Humane agents are now looking for Chance's abuser.

A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to a conviction.

Humane officials said Chance will be put up for adoption when he is well enough.

Anyone with information as to who left Chance for dead should call Humane Agent Kathy Hecker at 412-847-7065.
