PITTSBURGH —
Prison officials said 45-year-old Lisa Bruno, also know as Lin Marie, has been released from the Allegheny County Jail. A preliminary hearing in her case is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
Bruno's attorney, Ron Valasek, did not return a call for comment.
On Thursday, Bruno's Pittsburgh-area animal sanctuary, Tiger Ranch, was raided. Between 600 and 700 cats, many of them sick and dying, were found on the 29-acre property. Thousands more are believed to be buried on the site. Since the raid, about 50 cats have died. Others suffer from a variety of diseases.
Bruno has been arraigned on 13 counts of animal cruelty and neglect. More charges are expected.
