Duquesne Students Hold Vigil; Police Search For Shooter

2 People Already Under Arrest

PITTSBURGH —

Duquesne University students continue to pray for their five classmates recovering from gunshot wounds after a shooting over the weekend.

Students said they're reeling from the shock of the attack.

Colin Murphy said, “This thing affects everyone on campus. But I especially kind of feel it because I wasn't with the basketball team that long and I just hope that everyone comes through this and all the guys are all right.”

Three members of the basketball team are still in the hospital.

Pittsburgh police continue their search this morning for the third suspect wanted in connection with the shooting spree.

William Holmes faces charges of aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, reckless endangerment and weapons charges.

Brandon Baynes, 18, from Penn Hills, was already arrested in connection with the shooting. He faces the same charges and has a $250,000 bond.

Baynes' father A.J. Baynes said, "He was there. There were a whole lot of people there, but he didn't shoot or fire the shots at nobody. My son never fired a gun in his life."

Brittany Jones, 19, a sophomore at the school, was also arrested.

School officials said she transferred to Duquesne last year as a Hurricane Katrina victim. Jones is accused of helping men with guns get into the party.

She is charged with reckless endangerment, criminal conspiracy and carrying a firearm without a license.
