Ex-Cheswick Mayor Accused Of Threatening Girlfriend With Knife

 

PITTSBURGH —

A former mayor of Cheswick charged with threatening to kill his girlfriend with a kitchen knife will stand trial.

According to the police affidavit, last month, Eric Strawoet, 58, knocked his girlfriend to the floor, held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.

Strawoet faces several charges, including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

A trial date has not yet been set.
