Extra Security In Place At Mars Area High School After Threat To Student

Student Receives Phone Call Saying He Would Be Shot At School Wednesday

 

MARS, Pa. —

Extra security will be in place when students return to classes Wednesday at Mars Area High School.

The district was notified that a student at Mars Area High School received an anonymous phone call over the weekend in which the caller threatened to shoot that student in school Wednesday.

District officials have been in touch with Adams Township police and the Pennsylvania State Police, who are investigating.

Administration, faculty and staff at Mars Area High School are taking necessary precautions and are increasing security at the high school.

The district is closed until Wednesday for in-service days.

No further details on the investigation were released.
