Fatal Car Accident Occurs In Somerset County

 

BLACK TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

One man is dead after a crash in Somerset County.

The accident occurred Friday afternoon on Bognar Road in Black Township.

Gary Molitsky of Patton, Pa. lost control of his car when he lost control on a small rise in the roadway.

Molitsky's car swerved into oncoming traffic. In an effort to return to his lane, Molitsky overcompensated and spun the car in circles.

His car then hit an embankment, became airborne, and rolled several times through a field. Molitsky was ejected from the vehicle.

He was taken by helicopter to a local hospital where he later died.

A passenger in the car was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Police said Molitsky was speeding at the time of the crash.
