Fire Breaks Out As Veterinarian Operates On Dog

No People, Animals Injured In Fire

 

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. —

A fire broke out at Jasmine Animal Hospital Thursday along Pittsburgh Street in Springdale as veterinarian Mark Jasmine operated on a dog.

Officials said Jasmine took the dog outside, finished operating and rushed back inside to help.

Jasmine also rescued a cat from the burning building. No other animals were inside the hospital at the time of the blaze.

Jasmine, his wife and children all lived about the hospital. They evacuated the building without harm.

No people or animals were injured in the fire.
