Fire Crews Battle Blaze In Hempfield

 

HEMPFIELD TWP. Pa. —

Fire crews were called to a fire at a home on Corbett Avenue in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, around 9 p.m.

A two-car garage with a loft above it caught fire.

A Channel 11 crew at the scene said explosions were heard.

It was a very smoky fire and the building was heavily damaged.

At least six fire departments helped battle the blaze.

No word yet on what sparked the fire.
