Fire Destroys Home Day Before Owners Move In

PENN TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Fire burned through a home in Westmoreland County, one day before its owners were scheduled to move in.

The blaze began at the Duncan Street home in Penn Township at about 12:05 a.m. Tuesday.

The two-story house was being renovated, so no one was inside. The couple who owns it were supposed to move in Wednesday.

Investigators did not know the cause of the fire. They also did not say if the fire is considered suspicious.
