Firefighters From Two Counties Battle Hardware Store Blaze

CLINTONVILLE, Pa. —

It took hours for dozens of firefighters from both Venango and Butler counties to extinguish a hardware store fire.

When the smoke cleared, the setting sun revealed a total loss.

However, the long-time business on Mercer Street in Clintonville, Venango County, will be rebuilt. The owner made that promise to Channel 11 News Tuesday night.

While the roaring flames destroyed the store, everyone inside when the blaze broke out escaped unharmed.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
