PITTSBURGH —
Pyrotecnico made its debut in setting off the fireworks in Pittsburgh. The New Castle company won the right to do the fireworks from Zambelli, who had done the fireworks in Pittsburgh for decades.

Pyrotecnico set off 22,000 fireworks in its display, using a method called "pyrodome," which is a 30-foot-long semi-circle truss that is meant to add depth and width to the fireworks display.
