Flames Destroy Home In Arona Borough

Two People Inside Escape

ARONA BOROUGH, Pa. —

A Westmoreland County family was forced out of their home by fire.

Flames sparked just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the house on Main Street in Arona Borough.

A husband and wife who were inside the burning home got out safe.

Firefighters say heavy fire erupted in the homes basement and first floor.

Investigators said they think the fire was caused by an electrical issue in the basement.

The house suffered significant damage.

No one was hurt.
