Flipped Manhole Cover Strikes Bottom Of Port Authority Bus

PITTSBURGH —

A Port Authority bus was involved in a minor accident Tuesday night in Pittsburgh's Hill District.

Authorities said the bus was heading down Centre Avenue when a manhole cover that was flipped up hit the bottom of the bus.

Some fuel spilled on the road, and a car behind the bus got stuck in the open manhole, police said.

There's no word on what caused the cover to come off. No injuries were reported.
