PITTSBURGH —
Robert Winston, 63, was accused of storing the remains of over 300 babies in his garage.
Magee-Womens Hospital had contracted him through 2002 to pick up and cremate the bodies.
Police said Winston told them he stored the fetuses in the garage because he simply didn't have the money to get them cremated.
On Monday he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to four years probation.
Winston said, "This has been a long ordeal for myself and those involved I let down. Regardless of the circumstances, I certainly apologize to Magee and to the people who trusted me to take care of it. And I am very sorry for that."
