Gov. Confirms Possible Buyer For Rolling Rock Plant

Sale Discussions Under Way

LATROBE, Pa. —

Gov. Ed Rendell confirmed there is a possible buyer for the Rolling Rock plant in Latrobe.

That could be a reprieve for some 200 Rolling Rock employees.

"In-Bev USA," the owner of Latrobe Brewing, said it's holding sale discussions with City Brewing Company of Wisconsin.

Last month, In-Bev sold the Rolling Rock brands to Anheuser-Busch.

That deal did not include the Latrobe plant, which In-Bev said will close if it's not sold by July 31.
